Product Description
The Tamiya LED Light Control Unit TLU-02 enables various light effects when used with separately available Tamiya LED lights and LED Light Unit (TLU-01). The unit enhances overall appearance and realism of your electric radio control touring car. A total of 16 sets (32 lights) of LED Lights can be lit up by connecting two TLU-01 units. Set-up is similar to an ESC, and is simple to understand even for beginners. Main light effects: *Select headlights, position and fog lights to reproduce realistic evening and night driving. *Brake, backup lights and blinkers can be activated according to transmitter operation. *Hazard lights flash after car stops. *Realistic passing lights. *Lights flash during acceleration. *Siren-like LED Lights. *Unidirectional flashing of 8 LED Lights. *Back and forth flashing of 8 LED Lights. *Requires transmitter, battery, TLU-01 unit and LED lights (ALL SOLD SEPARATELY). *Aaron's Hobbies Workshop Notes: First, let us remind you that this unit does not work on its own; it is an add-on to the TLU-01 unit, which is sold separately or comes with certain Tamiya RC kits. It's worth noting that the instruction sheet comes with small prints crammed with English and 3 other languages, but it does include illustrations, which helps a lot. Out of the box, you'll get one TLU-02 control unit, no LED lights are included in the box. You'll also get 2 connector cables to hook up to the TLU-01 unit, 4 plastic cable fasteners, and good quality double sided tapes to fasten the unit to inside of the RC car body. With this unit, you can hook up an additional 8 LED lights, and you get all the cool light effects mentioned earlier. We installed this unit on a Tamiya 1/10 RC BMW M3, and it worked like a charm, with lifelike signal, brake, reverse, and fog lights. The light effects are all well synchronized with your radio controller, and the mode selector button on the control unit lets you easily switch between 4 modes. Enjoy!
